 I am strictly a belly dancer myself,  and I agree completely that we should be spending the time focusing on developing our own style,presentation and skills rather than worrying about someone  else&#039;s.

I don&#039;t believe we have a very large burlesque community here in Ottawa, but I can see it could grow as the tribal style belly dance has begun to really catch on.   When I produce shows, I am so grateful to have a mix of dance styles, and the audience loves it too!  It is all about choice.

Choose what works for you, and let others choose what works for them!</description>
